A New Outlook for a New Year

It may be hard to believe, but the first month of the New Year is almost over. So, how’s 2012 going so far? If it’s not going as you had hoped, now is a great time to start again. For the first time in probably six years, I have started a year by keeping an open mind, open heart and releasing all of my expectations. For the first time, I have not started the year with an internal countdown of when my family will expand going on in my mind. And for the first time, I finally feel I have some peace moving into a new year. Now, I’m not writing this to say I have all of the answers. Far from it. But my goal as always is to share my experiences in an effort to support those going through similar struggles. I’ve learned that when I put things into practice, and begin each day for what it is … a new day … then things all of a sudden don’t seem so overwhelming. Read more

Well, I’ve been a little MIA lately, and I’m truly sorry. The truth is I’ve started a new job and though I’m continuing to blog for Fertility Authority, my Fresh Conceptions blog has been lacking. I’m going to start updating this blog on a weekly basis with my most recent posts so you can continue to stay in the loop of my blogging and infertility journey. How the TV Show “Friends” Tackled Infertility

My favorite show of all time is “Friends,” and a few years ago my husband surprised me with the entire series on DVD. I had watched the show when it originally aired, always watched the reruns when I could, and have now watched the series more times than I can remember.

When I first watched the show I simply enjoyed it for entertainment. I never thought I would be infertile or face some of the challenges the show so boldly addressed, but now that I’ve been down this road I feel an even greater draw to its characters, and I appreciate the writers who wrote its stories.
